Bellwood Borough Authority Waterline Replacement Project

In eliminating old corroded water lines within the rear yards of residents, MKA and Authority met with the residents to reroute their service lines at no cost to them.  Six (6) new customers were tied into the system.  MKA worked with Antis Township to acquire additional easements through unimproved roadway.

The Bellwood Borough Authority requested Morris Knowles and Associates to assist them in preparing plans and specifications, contract award administration and construction observation to replace an existing corroded 2” diameter cast iron water line with a 6” (3,200 LF) and 8” (1000 LF) diameter C-900 PVC water main to improve water volume, pressure and adequate fire flow for the installation of new fire hydrants for existing customers along East 9th Street, East 8TH Street, East 7th Street and South Tuckahoe Street in Antis Township.
